Evaluation of the Foliar Application of Nano Urea on the Performance of Rabi Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)

A study was conducted on clayey soils (vertisols) of southern Telangana zone (India) characterized by low soil organic carbon, available nitrogen and medium phosphorous (P) high potassium (K). The experiment involving seven (N) management practices (T1 to T7) recommended dose fertilizers (RDF) as application, varied rates foliar application nano urea (liquid) laid out in randomized block design replicated thrice. All the treatments were supplied with basal 50% applied fertilizer at time sowing except T1 (No application) treatment. Results revealed that three splits resulted into significantly highest growth, yield ( 1774 kg) attributes sunflower, found profitable (Benefit:Cost ratio = 3.47) over nano- spray. Foliar @ 2-4 ml L-1 T3 T7 could improve growth sunflower (by 546 744 when compared no However showed lesser RDF rabi sunflower.
